💻 The Interview
I had my interview with ACI Worldwide, from 10 AM to 4 PM — a long, intense session.
Unfortunately, I got rejected.
Their reason?
“Your basics in Java aren’t clear enough.”
Fair. Painful, but fair.
They mentioned a few more areas I could improve on — and honestly, I did learn a lot from that experience. 📚
🌇 The Rooftop Pause
After that long day, instead of rushing back to my room, I decided to slow down a bit.
From 4 to 6 PM, I chilled with a friend on the 7th-floor rooftop of the Beehive Prestige building — just soaking in the breeze, watching the sunset, and enjoying a little slice of nature 🌿🌤️.
Those two hours helped me clear my mind and reminded me that sometimes, peace comes when you stop forcing yourself to “move on” and just breathe. 🍃
🚶♂️ The Unexpected Turn
Now, most people (including me, usually) would go straight back to their room, lie down, and overthink every word they said wrong.
But that day was different. ✨
Just 2.5 km away, a Notion community meetup was happening — something I’d seen earlier but hadn’t planned to attend.
So I thought:
“Rather than sulking, why not do something productive... or at least something that makes me feel good?” 😌
💡 The Notion Meetup
And off I went! 🚴♂️
I reached the venue, met some amazing people, interacted, learned a bunch of new things, grabbed some snacks (and of course, Notion stickers 🧃✨), and just… enjoyed the energy of that space. 💬🤝
After the event, I walked around MG Road, explored a few places, had some good food 🍜, and finally reached my hostel at around 10 PM.
🔁 The Reflection
That day was a mix of hectic, surprising, reflective, and fruitful moments. 🌤️
I got rejected — yes.
But I also realized something important:
Rejection doesn’t have to mean the end of the day.
It can be the start of something unexpected and refreshing — if you just step out and choose to move forward. 🌱

So next time you face rejection, don’t rush to the comfort of your bed or your thoughts.
Go out. Talk to people. Learn something new.
You might just end up turning a bad day into a memorable one. 💫
